small but mine

I love well made low prim stuff! So when I tp’d to Apple Fall yesterday – initially only to buy a giant fireplace which had caught my eye – I did some sky-box-on-sale hopping and fell in love with the New York apartment I’m showing you here. It’s mesh, it’s texture change, it has beautifully baked shadows and it’s only 10 prims!

Of course, a new skybox is a very good reason to buy new furniture and decorations, so…. I discovered a new to me store through an ad for a dress (which I also bought) – Ionic – and went a bit wild there… so many lovely things to discover! we’re ClOSED is another new to me store with fab things to find – well worth a visit!

The lighting in the New York apartment immediately lifts my spirits – for me, it spells spring. I love baked lights and shadows – my SL would be much too laggy if I left shadows on all the time, so baked shadows make everything look nice without the lag, though I would love to have an option with no shadows for picture taking!

I feel this little box will stay up for a while (I change my living arrangements often) and please my eye!

1. What is the rez date for your current SL Avatar that you use most often? Sisch Firecaster, 17th january, 2009
2. Where was the first place you made friends as a newb and got to know people in Second Life? Almost all my inworld friends are people that I met at the Machinima theater (see the 7 SL facts meme)
3. Where do you spend most of your SL time now? On my land or shopping, shopping and…. shopping!
4. Who is your closest friend in Second Life? (only pick one) Going to cheat massively here: I have only 3 people I would call friends and to whom I talk with any kind of regularity, and those are Riott Viking, Pandora Popstar and Moriko Inshan
5. What is the most favorite thing in your inventory? (only pick one) hrmpf, difficult! I guess it’s my shape, because that is what I perceive as me (so much so that my 2 alts have it, too).
6. The last thing you purchased in Second Life?  The 5th Anniversary Beige Heart Purse from Adore&Abhor
7. What color clothing does your avatar wear most often? not sure because my SLife is much more colourful than my RL (I mostly wear black RL), but I still think black is featured heavily
8. Do you prefer to walk, run or fly? I walk. And if I need to go somewhere fast, I teleport there by clicking on the ground. I’m not very good at flying and don’t really like to run.
9. What is the craziest thing you’ve ever done in SL? I’m totally boring, I really are! I don’t think I have done anything crazy ever!
10. Who would you like to play YOU, in the movie of your SLife? People would snore after 5 sec (because I’m so boring) … but Anne Hathaway. Yeah. Maybe that would keep them awake a little longer!
