small but mine

I love well made low prim stuff! So when I tp’d to Apple Fall yesterday – initially only to buy a giant fireplace which had caught my eye – I did some sky-box-on-sale hopping and fell in love with the New York apartment I’m showing you here. It’s mesh, it’s texture change, it has beautifully baked shadows and it’s only 10 prims!

Of course, a new skybox is a very good reason to buy new furniture and decorations, so…. I discovered a new to me store through an ad for a dress (which I also bought) – Ionic – and went a bit wild there… so many lovely things to discover! we’re ClOSED is another new to me store with fab things to find – well worth a visit!

The lighting in the New York apartment immediately lifts my spirits – for me, it spells spring. I love baked lights and shadows – my SL would be much too laggy if I left shadows on all the time, so baked shadows make everything look nice without the lag, though I would love to have an option with no shadows for picture taking!

I feel this little box will stay up for a while (I change my living arrangements often) and please my eye!

This is my lovely new home from +NODe+! I especially love the little walled veranda and pond – there’s a rain system coming with the house, it’s so peaceful! You should visit the SLOW sim, where all +NODe+ houses are on display, as well as a lot of small shops whose items are featured in this post, like { ililo } and Bitter Vanilla. { ililo } is rebranding as +ILO+, a lot of the older stuff is available at reduced prices and will vanish soon, so go grab it now! my winter hideout

Beware, extremely long and picture-heavy post ahead!

Okay, so I live on mainland, at a beautiful coast, and I love my land dearly… but, of course, there’s no landlord changing the ground-texture to snow for me! I decorated my little shop for winter, but somehow, that was not enough. Luckily I had prims to spare, so up went another Turnip’s skydome – there’s a free update available, don’t miss out on it if you own an older model of the dome! – and here it is, my winter hideout…. hope you enjoy!

I sincerly hope I have credited everything… if you see something and are not sure where to get it, let me know! The house from ++HY’s++ is originally a shop building, with an open entryway in the room where I put my bed. I added a sliding door, and I also re-textured the floors.
